Studio Director – Vietnam (M/F)

Who are we?
A major player in the animation industry, Xilam Animation is a globally recognized integrated studio known for its original productions broadcast in more than 190 countries across major international platforms and channels.
With studios in Paris, Angoulême and Ho Chi Minh City, Xilam supports the development of ambitious 2D, CG and premium animation productions.

The Role
The Studio Director’s mission is to strengthen the local organization, support the growth and development of the executive committee, foster stronger collaboration across teams, and contribute to the studio’s business development efforts.
Working closely with the Group, the Studio Director helps define the studio’s strategic direction and oversees its implementation, while ensuring regular reporting to Group management. The role also involves maintaining the studio as an autonomous, high-performing profit center.

Your Responsibilities
• Oversee the studio’s overall operations.
• Manage and support the studio’s executive committee.
• Strengthen relationships with partners and clients, while contributing to the studio’sbusiness development efforts.
• Ensure operational supervision of ongoing projects alongside the Head of Production.
• Validate recruitment plans and staffing needs, and support talent retention initiativeswith the studio’s HR Director.
• Oversee the studio’s administrative and financial management in collaboration with theCFO.
• Ensure alignment with Group objectives and provide regular reporting to Groupmanagement.

 

Your Profile
Education & Experience
• Master’s degree (Business School, Management, Audiovisual Studies, or equivalent).
• 5 to 8 years of experience in audiovisual production, animation, productionmanagement, or creative industries.
• Significant initial experience managing teams or a business unit.
• Experience in an international or multicultural environment is a plus.
• Experience in client relations and business development is appreciated.

Key Skills

• Strong business development and partnership management skills.
• Good understanding of audiovisual production environments.

Language Skills
• English: Professional fluency required (primary working language).
• Vietnamese: Strongly preferred for local management and business development.
• French: Strongly preferred for interactions with headquarters and understanding theGroup’s cultural environment.

Compensation & Conditions
• Permanent local contract based in Ho Chi Minh City.
• Fixed salary: $58K-$70K gross per year plus annual bonus.
• Target start date: September 2026.
• Environment: Executive-level position offering real decision-making autonomy within arecognized Group.
