The Oscar Animation Day at Xilam Paris
UniFrance and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hosted the Oscar Animation Day, a round table about animated films, on Monday March 2 in the afternoon at Xilam in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.
Meredith Shea opened the event with a presentation of how to submit animated features to the Academy Awards. An animation panel followed with Hollywood producer Bonnie Arnold as moderator, and guests: director Jérémy Clapin (I lost my body), producer Marc du Pontavice, producers Damien and Didier Brunner (Folivari), composer Emmanuel Deletang (Samsam, les Hirondelles de Kaboul, Ernest et Célestine), scriptwriter Anita Doron (Parvana), director Alain Gagnol (Phantom Boy, les Contes du Hérisson) as well as directors Hélène Giraud and Thomas Szabo (Minuscule).
